Hi, it’s me Jac! One half of the best friend duo behind Slow Glow Candle Co. I love all things hygge: candles flickering, warm pastries, and a glass of wine in the sun. The other half this duo is my hubbie, Calvin. Fun facts about him: he sounds like an angel when he sings, I think he’s funny but he thinks he’s funnier, and he “supportive-husbanded” just a little too hard… which is how this whole small business came to life. We’re building this business mainly because I felt called to it by God clearly and more than once. And who am I to say no to God?

But also because we have littles in our house that I wanted to keep safe from unnecessary nasties hiding in so many store-bought candles. And maybe there are some of you out there who are sick of products being made with profit in mind instead of your safety. Every candle we sell is a candle I burn in my house and can breathe easier knowing they are made without phthalates, organ toxins, acute toxins, and so much more. We use a clean-burning coconut soy wax, not a cheap byproduct of the oil industry, because what you breathe in matters.

Life’s short. Burn the candle and don’t wonder what’s in it. There’s plenty of other things to worry about, and that shouldn’t be one of them.
